Welcome to my website!  I am so glad you found me here.  I'm just getting back from a wonderful week in France where we painted, ate, and drank the local wines throughout the countryside.  It was my second visit to the Puy-l'Eveque area where a potential painting was around every turn!  Now, to clean up some of the pieces I painted there!

Upon my return home, I was asked by the City of Suffolk, VA to do a painting of our city's Obici-Oderzo Fountain that was given to us by our Sister City of Oderzo, Italy in 2003.  Oderzo is the birthplace of Amedeo Obici, the founder of Planter Peanuts, who built a processing plant in Suffolk, VA in 1913.  He and his wife, Louise, moved to Suffolk in 1924. (wikipedia)  The painting was given as part of a gift to the City of Oderzo at a re-dedication ceremony at the end of July, 2024.

As a resident artist at the Smithfield Arts Center@319, I'm enjoying meeting people from around the area, the state, the country, and the world!  Many people visit the historic town, so my studio space is a great place to share my art and talk art with visitors.  I've started teaching workshops in what is called "paper-painting," using acrylic paints, colorful papers, and other materials to create works of art.
